Building Health From Soil Communities to Human Communities.
For our March Quarterly Meeting we will be hearing from Susan Jennings, Executive Director of Agraria Center of Regenerative Practice.
Susan Jennings became Executive Director of Community Solutions in Yellow Springs OH in 2014. In 2017, she led the 75 year old organization in the purchase of a 128 acre conventional farm which is being transformed into a Center for Regenerative Practice. In addition to farm trainings, the Center hosts conferences, produces Journals and podcasts, and runs workshops on the critical connection between soil health and community health.
Recent studies in soil regeneration have alerted farmers, climate activists, food system actors, and health professionals of the intimate and intricate connection between soil health and human health. Healthy soil creates healthy food, sequesters carbon, and supports biodiversity. Join us for a deep dive into soil regeneration, food system regeneration, and community regeneration. Attendees will be introduced to the surprising life beneath us and ways that we can enliven it and ourselves through regenerative practices.
