Health Promotion and Community Engagement Supervisor

The Health Promotion and Community Engagement supervisor position will develop, implement and coordinate evidence-based health education and health promotion activities including policy, system and environmental change strategies, programs, processes and interventions to support community based healthy living, and health prevention efforts; develop, coordinate and facilitate community engagement and community health action teams to identify and address health problems, disparities and social determinants of health.

Duties Include:

Assists with the development of a comprehensive community health assessment (CHA) and a community health improvement plan (CHIP)

Coordinates, leads, facilitates and develops community and county-wide coalitions

Aligns efforts with healthcare and other partners including data, outcomes, equity and access relating to chronic disease and injury

Determines resources required for projects and the most feasible and cost effective methods to gather data; develops work plans; assigns priorities and time limits

Assists or coordinates with writing grants; assists with identifying and recommending grant expenditures

Other related duties as assigned

Requirements: Bachelor’s degree in community health, education, public health or related field with a minimum of two (2) years of experience in public health, policy management, or equivalent; a Master’s degree in public health, education or public administration preferred. Must possess a valid driver’s license, and be insurable through FCPH’s provider.
