Summary of Duties: Direct, coordinate, and administer organizational development and planning services for the College of Public Health, Center for Public Health Practice, a provider of workforce and organizational development services for public health practitioners and community partners; lead funded programs and fee-for-service projects in fulfillment of deliverables, with a focus on public health agency accreditation and population health planning at both the state and local levels; serve as overall manager for state funded public health accreditation readiness project; assign and assure deliverables are met by project team; act as primary representative for Center with state and local agencies, partner and academic institutions. Serve as primary interface with project advisory group; oversee consultants to fulfill deliverables; participate in project research, in partnership with CPH faculty and staff; serve as subject matter expert, consultant, and/or instructor for in-person and web-based training and technical assistance in areas related to public health agency accreditation and community health planning. Facilitate consensus-building and action plan development for public health planning; identify new areas for training and workforce/organizational/public health system services through needs assessment; develop and initiate new programs to address gaps and expand Center services; act as primary liaison with the OSU Department of Extension Regional Program Specialist for Community Engagement and Health Transformation and actively participate in the connection of local public health and county Extension staff; prepare funding proposals, narrative and budgetary reports.; interface with national, state and local agency representatives on behalf of Center; serve as member of Center’s core leadership team and assist in development, implementation and evaluation of the Center’s strategic plan; supervise and mentor staff and students; valid driver’s license required; in-state and out-of-state travel.
Required Qualifications: Master’s degree in workforce or organizational development, education, public health, health services administration, or equivalent education/experience; 8 years of experience in local, state, national and/or academic public health organizations; experienced with Microsoft Office applications, including use of Excel in managing data; group process design and facilitation; strong project administration and management skills; experience in running simple statistical analyses and familiarity with statistical software.
Desired Qualifications: Direct or functional oversight of employees; successful relationship builder; customer service focused, with experience in successful client relations.
Target Salary: $63,000.00 - $87,000.00 Annually
