Emergency Preparedness Specialist
Delaware General Health District seeks a full-time time position to assist in coordination of emergency preparedness activities to ensure our agency and employees are prepared for public health disasters. Collaborate with local/regional planners to develop, assess, integrate and test response plans, procedures, protocols, and guidelines. Evaluate current plans through drills and facilitate necessary exercises and training. Serve as health district liaison between regional/local response agencies. Collect data and assure program quality and compliance through necessary evaluations and audits. Take responsibility for creating & updating all preparedness plans and reports. Assist in researching availability of grants and ensure grant compliance.
Bachelor’s degree and 1 - 3 years of emergency or preparedness activity work experience required. Pay range starts at $18.00/hour. An excellent paid leave, retirement and benefit package is available. Applicants may apply through November 30, 2016.
